Laguna PPO Breaks Ground for New Kabalikat Building, Fostering Community-Focused Policing

 SANTA CRUZ, LAGUNA– Marking a significant milestone in its commitment to excellence, the Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of its new Kabalikat Building on February 22, 2024.

This facility, funded by a ₱21.24 million grant secured by 4th District Representative Hon. Maria Jamina Katherine Agarao-Oloroso from the General Appropriations Act (GAA), will serve as a central hub for collaboration, training, and innovation. The Kabalikat Building will house dedicated spaces for community outreach programs, skills development workshops, and cutting-edge technology integration, fostering a culture of excellence within the Laguna PPO.

 “The Kabalikat Building represents a transformative step forward for the Laguna PPO,” expressed Laguna Police Provincial Director PCOL GAUVIN MEL YAMASHITA UNOS. “This isn’t just a building; it’s a symbol of our commitment to building stronger relationships with our communities and empowering our officers to become true partners in progress.”

 The groundbreaking ceremony featured a symbolic lowering of a time capsule, a tradition that encapsulates the hopes and aspirations for the future. Filled with messages from community members, officers, and dignitaries, the time capsule serves as a reminder of the shared commitment to building a safer and more secure Laguna.

 “I am incredibly proud to support the construction of the Kabalikat Building,” stated Congresswoman Agarao. “This project aligns perfectly with my vision for a more competent and well-equipped Laguna Police force. I believe the Kabalikat Building will serve as a crucial platform to further enhance their skills, resources, and community engagement, ultimately leading to a safer and more secure Laguna for all.”
