Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto’s re-election bid for the Province of Batangas has generated excitement among her supporters. She officially filed her candidacy at the COMELEC office on October 3, 2024, backed by her sons, Luis Philippe “Lucky” Manzano, who is running for Vice Governor, and Ryan Recto, who seeks a congressional seat for the 6th District. Together, they aim to continue their family’s legacy of service to Batangas under the “One Batangas” coalition.
Santos-Recto’s platform focuses on the HEARTS agenda: Health, Education, Agriculture, Roads and Infrastructure, Tourism, and Security. This vision emphasizes inclusive growth and sustainable development for Batangueños, echoing her campaign’s slogan, “Tuloy ang Serbisyong RECTO” (Continuing the RECTO Brand of Service).
With the support of newly appointed Secretary of Finance Ralph G. Recto and her constituents, Santos-Recto is poised to lead Batangas once more, promoting progress and prosperity, and ensuring the province’s contribution to the larger national agenda of a “Maunlad na Batangas sa Bagong Pilipinas.”
