In Laguna, proactive leadership isn’t just a concept—it’s a reality. Governor Sol Aragones once again demonstrated this as she responded swiftly to a long-standing request from Sta. Cruz Mayor Benjo Agarao: to return the Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) Main Office to its original home in Sta. Cruz.
In just one call to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Regional Office, Governor Aragones made it happen. The SWAD Main Office is now officially back in Sta. Cruz, with an extension office retained in Pila to ensure continued access for nearby communities.
This move not only honors local sentiment but also exemplifies how collaboration and swift action between provincial and municipal leaders can lead to results that directly benefit the people.

Listening, Responding, Delivering
The return of the SWAD office was part of a larger community event that symbolized unity and public service.
Mayor Benjo Agarao highlighted the positive outcomes of effective collaboration between local and provincial leaders, noting that Sta. Cruz was the first municipality to experience the impact of Governor Aragones’ hands-on leadership approach.
Governance with Sol-utions
What stood out in this event wasn’t just the return of an office or the launch of a program—it was the clear message that good governance means being present, listening, and acting with urgency.
By championing cooperation, making services more accessible, and showing visible leadership, Governor Sol Aragones continues to define what it means to lead with purpose and compassion. Her administration’s brand of governance—“Gobyernong May Solusyon”—is no longer just a slogan, but a lived experience for the people of Laguna.
