San Pedro City, Laguna – May 30, 2025 marked a milestone in the Zonta Club of Laguna’s continued advocacy to empower women and youth, as it officially launched four Z and Golden Z Clubs in partnership with key educational institutions in the city. The initiative aims to nurture leadership, promote civic responsibility, and inspire meaningful community participation among students.
The four partner schools and their representatives are:
- Our Lady of Assumption College of Laguna, represented by Dr. Marion Acierto, Vice President for Academic Affairs
- Pacita Complex National High School, represented by Ms. Janette B. Senarillos, Principal
- San Antonio Integrated National High School, represented by Ms. Mary Jane Ellazo, Principal
- Calendola National High School, represented by Mr. Renante R. Soriano, Principal
The newly established clubs are as follows:
Z Clubs:
- Calendola National High School Z Club
- San Antonio Integrated National High School Z Club
- Pacita Complex National High School Z Club
Golden Z Club:
4. Our Lady of Assumption College – Golden Z Club


Through these clubs, students will engage in various projects that highlight education, empathy, gender equality, leadership, anti-teenage pregnancy advocacy, and skills development. The goal is to develop socially conscious and proactive young leaders committed to creating a positive impact in their communities.
This significant step was led by Zonta Club of Laguna President Ann Matibag, with strong support from District 17 Z and Golden Z Clubs Committee Chair Dr. Lourdes Almeda Sese. The successful launch was made possible through the dedication of Zonta members Atty. Maika Tolentino-Malamug, Minerva Ferranco, Maida Minette Ambayec, and Dr. Marion Acierto.
The Zonta Club of Laguna reaffirms its commitment to its global mission: to build a better world for women and girls. With the creation of these clubs, the organization takes a proactive step in shaping the next generation of changemakers in San Pedro City.
