Looking for your next weekend adventure, food trip, or quiet countryside escape? Cavite offers all that and more—and this year, your journey comes with exciting rewards. With the comeback of the Cavite Tourism Passport, exploring the province just got more rewarding, literally.
Launched by the Provincial Government of Cavite, through the Office of the Provincial Tourism Officer, in partnership with MPT South—the operator of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) and Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX)—this innovative tourism campaign invites locals and visitors alike to rediscover Cavite’s rich cultural, historical, and culinary destinations, while earning points and prizes along the way.
This year’s edition, supported by the Department of Tourism (DOT) CALABARZON and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), highlights more than 100 DOT-accredited establishments, divided into four categories: Staycation, Adventure, Food, and Heritage.
New Mechanics, More Fun
What’s new? The passport now features a point-based system that turns every trip into a gamified experience. Instead of just collecting stamps, travelers will accumulate points by visiting accredited destinations. To qualify for exclusive rewards, participants must visit locations from all four categories and earn at least 700 points between August 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026.
Joining local festivals also gives bonus points—another great reason to experience Cavite’s vibrant town fiestas and cultural celebrations.
Whether you’re sampling pancit pusit, enjoying a nature escape in Maragondon, or immersing in heritage walks, there’s a curated path for every type of traveler.
“We want to make travel around Cavite not only fun, but also meaningful,” says Rozelle Sangalang, Cavite Provincial Tourism Officer. “Through this passport, we’re encouraging both locals and visitors to dive deeper into what our province has to offer—from heritage and food to natural wonders and community celebrations.”
Arlette V. Capistrano, Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management at MPT South, adds, “This initiative reflects our commitment to building more than roads—we’re helping connect people to stories, culture, and communities.”
