New political party in Quezon forges alliance with NPC Party

LUCENA CITY, Quezon- Anew political party in the province has entered into an alliance with the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) Party  over the weekend.

The new political party  named as Solidarity for Transformation, Advancement and Nationalism towards a Dynamic, United and Progressive (STAND UP) Quezon led by Governor Helen Tan vows to promote mass action to combat the extreme poverty experienced by many citizens in the province.

“Our goal is clear. We are here because we are ready to stand up for the well-being of our province mates. Our call, STAND UP Quezon for unity. STAND UP Quezon for success. STAND UP Quezon against poverty”, said Gov. Tan who stands as party president during the party launching on Saturday at the 

The Governor emphasized that beyond politics and the upcoming election, STAND UP Quezon will promote its HEALING Agenda that will deliver programs and projects for health, education, agriculture, livelihood, infrastructure, nature and tourism, and good governance.

“We are marshaling the full might of our political capital to secure a life of prosperity and HEALING for everyone. STAND UP Quezon encapsulates the essential ingredients of what we dream for our province: solidarity, transformation, advancement, nationalism, dynamism, unity, and progress”, explained the first female governor in the history of Quezon.

Meanwhile, former Senate Speaker and NPC Chairperson  Vicente “Tito” Sotto expressed his hope for the success of the party with the initial membership of 226 incumbent elected officials from the total of 430 including the representatives from the  1st, 3rd and 4th districts of the province.

“It is an honor to be present here and forge an alliance with STAND UP Quezon. I am hopeful for your success out of this unity and the good leadership of  leaders present here today,” expressed Sotto.

Additionally, (4K) or Kababaihan KabalikaTAN Para sa Kakapanan and Kaunlaran ng Bayan, which is a new party-list organization in the whole of Calabarzon  also joined the alliance.
