Monde Nissin Corporation reported a 16.1% increase in core net income attributable to shareholders, reaching ₱8.3 billion in the first nine months of 2026, driven by stronger gross profit and continued growth in its food and beverage businesses.
In its unaudited financial results released on November 4, 2026, the company said consolidated revenue grew by 7.3% to ₱67.9 billion for the period ended September 30, 2026, compared with the same period last year.
For the third quarter alone, consolidated revenue increased by 8.2% to ₱23.6 billion, while core net income attributable to shareholders rose by 16.2% to ₱2.9 billion.
Reported net income also climbed by 20.8% to ₱8.1 billion during the first nine months. However, third-quarter earnings were partly offset by a non-cash loss of ₱513 million arising from the fair value measurement of the guaranty asset of its Protein business.
APAC FOOD AND BEVERAGE BUSINESS DRIVES GROWTH
Monde Nissin’s Asia-Pacific Branded Food and Beverage (APAC BFB) business remained a key contributor to the company’s performance, posting a 6.5% increase in net sales to ₱56.8 billion during the first nine months.
Its domestic business recorded a 6.7% increase in sales to ₱53.5 billion, while third-quarter domestic sales grew by 7.2% to ₱18.5 billion.
According to the company, growth was largely driven by pricing and volume improvements in biscuits and its strategic growth categories.
Gross profit in the APAC BFB segment increased by 9.6% to ₱20.3 billion, while gross margin expanded by 101 basis points year-on-year to 35.8%.
The improvement was attributed to pricing initiatives, cost management efforts, and lower coconut oil costs, which partly offset higher packaging and palm oil expenses and foreign exchange-related input cost increases.
PROTEIN BUSINESS POSTS STRONGER PROFITABILITY
Meanwhile, the company’s Protein business, which includes Quorn Foods, continued to demonstrate improved financial performance.
On a constant-currency basis, revenue increased by 2.2% in both the first nine months and the third quarter, supported by growth in the snacking segment within the United Kingdom retail channel.
Gross profit surged by 41.3% to ₱3.5 billion, while core EBITDA more than doubled, increasing by 115.4% to ₱904 million during the period.
The business also returned to positive earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT), recording ₱319 million in the first nine months of 2026, compared with a ₱79-million loss in the same period last year.
The company attributed the improvement to transformation initiatives, a stronger product mix, targeted pricing adjustments, and disciplined cost management.
DIVIDEND INCREASED TO ₱0.26 PER SHARE
Alongside its financial performance, Monde Nissin’s Board of Directors approved a cash dividend of ₱0.26 per common share on November 3, representing an 8.3% increase.
The company said the dividend declaration reflects the Board’s decision to distribute excess cash to shareholders.
November 25, 2026, was set as the record date, while payment is scheduled for December 23, 2026.
As of September 30, 2026, Monde Nissin reported ₱16.2 billion in cash and cash equivalents, with outstanding debt of ₱2.4 billion and a net debt-to-equity ratio of 0.08.
Operating cash flow reached ₱11 billion during the first nine months of the year.
COMPANY REMAINS FOCUSED ON SUSTAINABLE GROWTH
Monde Nissin Chief Executive Officer Henry Soesanto said the company sustained growth in its APAC BFB business during the third quarter, supported by stronger pricing and sales volume in biscuits and strategic growth categories.
He also highlighted the continued progress of the Protein business, which maintained positive EBIT for the third consecutive quarter.
Looking ahead, Soesanto said the company would remain focused on disciplined execution, prudent financial management, and advancing its strategic priorities.
He added that Monde Nissin would continue monitoring developments in raw material costs, foreign exchange movements, consumer demand, and the broader geopolitical environment, including the ongoing Middle East crisis.
The company said it would remain responsive to market conditions while implementing measured pricing and cost-management measures to support sustainable growth and profitability.
