Enchanted Kingdom celebrates Filipino talent and modern-day heroism at the 2024 Agilakas Gumalaw Dance Competition

Enchanted Kingdom, the premier theme park in the Philippines, celebrated modern-day heroes with a spectacular showcase at the 2024 Agilakas Gumalaw Dance Competition, held at the Spaceport Grounds on August 24.

The Agilakas Gumalaw Dance Competition is a yearly highlight at EK, bringing together the nation’s most talented dance performers to exhibit their skills. This year, ten outstanding dance groups took to the stage to demonstrate that “Pinoy, Magaling Ka!”

The NU Dance Company from Sampaloc, Manila emerged as the grand winner, captivating the audience with their performance that beautifully highlighted Filipino culture. They won Php 20,000, twenty return passes to EK, and the opportunity to perform at a future EK event.

NEW BREEDZ from Muntinlupa City and League of Monsters-Brothass from Calamba City, Laguna also earned runner-up titles, along with cash prizes and tickets.

The evening was further enlivened by rising P-Pop sensation BILIB, who delivered an electrifying performance of their latest music and popular P-Pop hits. Judges Myka Espina Gonzaga of G-Force and internet personality Xai Smith added to the excitement with their impressive dance routines.

The event’s enchantment was enhanced by generous sponsors including Surf, Dove Deo, Minute Maid, Pretzels Stick Snacks, Australia’s Own, Hello! Chocolate, Nips, Krrrrunch, C2 Cool and Clean, White Flower, and Selecta.

BAYANI: LAGING HANDA

Taking part in the celebration of Buwan ng Wika this August, EK brings back BAYANI, its original musical production featuring OPM songs with their very own Cast Members performing. This year’s installment of the musical follows the story of Joana Makabayan in her journey of self-discovery as she joins the Girl Scouts of the Philippines.

The musical show will run until September 15 from Fridays to Sundays, 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the Eldar’s Theater.

MIDWAY MIRROR MAZE

Create more magical memories with your loved ones with EK’s newly launched attraction, the Midway Mirror Maze. Drop by the Midway Boardwalk, and help Eldar the Wizard and Princess Madeline in finding Princess Victoria by threading your way towards the center of this thrilling labyrinth.
