Enchanted Kingdom at 30: Where Magic Meets Life Through the “Saribuhay” Agila Experience

Spread this info

For three decades, Enchanted Kingdom (EK) has captured the hearts of Filipino families as the country’s premier theme park — a place where dreams take flight, families bond, and imagination comes alive. As it celebrates its 30th anniversary on October 19, 2025, EK embarks on a powerful new chapter with the relaunch of one of its most iconic attractions: “AGILA The EKsperience: Saribuhay.”

Located in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, Enchanted Kingdom opened its magical gates on October 19, 1995, founded by the visionary couple Mario and Cynthia Mamon. Their dream was to create a theme park that would offer world-class entertainment while celebrating Filipino culture and pride — a place where fun meets learning, and fantasy meets Filipino values.

From humble beginnings, EK has expanded into a fully immersive theme park featuring seven themed zones designed to transport guests into different worlds of adventure and wonder:

  1. Victoria Park – The grand entryway where Eldar the Wizard greets guests.
  2. Portabello – A Spanish-era pirate town.
  3. Boulderville – A dinosaur-themed area ideal for children.
  4. Midway Boardwalk – Inspired by 1930s American carnivals.
  5. Brooklyn Place – A vibrant entertainment district reminiscent of 1940s New York.
  6. Spaceport – The futuristic zone, home to rides like the Space Shuttle.
  7. Jungle Outpost – A tropical zone packed with wild thrills and nature-themed fun.

Through the years, attractions like the Space Shuttle, Anchors Away, and Rio Grande Rapids have become crowd favorites, drawing millions of visitors from both the Philippines and around the world.

Eldar the Wizard: More Than Just Magic

More than just a mascot, Eldar the Wizard embodies the park’s commitment to wisdom, learning, and integrity. He represents EK’s broader mission: to use entertainment as a vehicle for teaching values, encouraging creativity, and fostering environmental awareness.

The First Flying Theater in the Philippines

In 2016, EK introduced AGILA The EKsperience, the first-ever flying theater in the Philippines. This groundbreaking ride lets guests “fly” with the majestic Philippine eagle, soaring over some of the country’s most stunning landscapes — including the Banaue Rice Terraces, Chocolate Hills, and Palawan’s pristine seas.

With its 4D multi-sensory effects — motion simulation, wind, scent, and panoramic visuals — AGILA isn’t just a thrill ride. It’s a celebration of national pride and a call to protect our natural heritage. EK also partnered with the Philippine Eagle Foundation, even adopting a male eagle named Enchanted Kagitingan as part of its conservation efforts.

A New Flight: AGILA “Saribuhay”

As part of its 30th anniversary celebration, Enchanted Kingdom relaunches AGILA with a renewed vision — AGILA The EKsperience: Saribuhay.

Derived from the Filipino words “sari” (many) and “buhay” (life), Saribuhay symbolizes the diversity and interconnectedness of all living things. The updated ride aims to deepen its environmental message and inspire every visitor to respond to the “call of life” — to care for nature, protect biodiversity, and ensure a sustainable future.

This refreshed version offers upgraded visuals, enhanced colors, redesigned sets, and a richer storyline. Guests are once again guided by Eldar the Wizard and the noble Philippine eagle, but this time with a clear advocacy: “entertainment with a purpose.”

A 30-Year Celebration: “Forever Enchanted”

The relaunch of AGILA: Saribuhay is the highlight of EK’s grand celebration entitled “Forever Enchanted”, which marks 30 years of magic, innovation, and Filipino excellence.

Alongside the updated AGILA experience, EK is also revamping classic attractions like the Space Shuttle and unveiling new shows and entertainment offerings throughout the year.

This milestone reflects EK’s transformation — from a theme park of fantasy to a theme park with purpose. By combining fun and education, Enchanted Kingdom encourages guests not only to dream and believe — but also to act, protect, and care for the world outside its gates.

The Magic Lives On

From its founding in 1995 to its present-day legacy, Enchanted Kingdom remains a beacon of Filipino creativity and imagination. Through the Saribuhay experience, the park reminds us all: the true magic of life — in all its forms — is worth celebrating, protecting, and passing on.
