Bay, Laguna – In a significant move to enhance educational opportunities for local students, CARD, Inc. and ALALAY SA KAUNLARAN, Inc. Skills and Knowledge Institute, Inc. (ASKI-SKI) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on August 2, 2024, at CMDI Bay, Laguna.
The partnership aims to provide scholarships and quality education to 50 senior high school students from Talavera and surrounding areas in Nueva Ecija. CARD, Inc. Executive Director Vicente P. Briones Jr. emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “This scholarship is a crucial step towards helping our young students achieve their dreams. Education remains the key to overcoming poverty, and we are committed to giving our youth the chance to receive a quality education, transform their lives, and rise above poverty.”
The MOA outlines a commitment of PHP 1 million, which will fund PHP 20,000 per student over two years. This support will benefit children of clients from CARD, Inc. and ASKI, as well as members of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI).
Additionally, CARD, Inc. will facilitate the enrollment of these students in the CARD-MRI Development Institute, Inc. (CMDI) campuses located in Bay, Laguna; Tagum City, Davao del Norte; and Buenavista, Agusan del Norte, providing them with further scholarship and educational opportunities.
The collaboration between CARD, Inc. and ASKI-SKI highlights both organizations’ commitment to advancing education in local communities and nurturing the next generation of leaders in the country.
