Just in time for the holidays, senior citizens in the City of Biñan received ₱3,000 each as part of the city’s Local Social Pension Program. This initiative is conducted twice a year, in June and December.
On its second day of distribution, seniors from Barangay Sto.Tomas, San Francisco, Dela Paz, and Langkiwa receives their pension .The program is set to complete the disbursement to all 18,500 qualified senior citizens by Sunday. The pension is expected to help seniors and their families prepare for their Noche Buena celebrations.

The Biñan City Government also reminded seniors of the recent enactment of Republic Act 11982, which amends the Centenarians Act of 2016. Under this law, individuals who reach 100 years old will receive a ₱100,000 cash gift.
Moreover, seniors in Biñan can now avail of a ₱10,000 cash gift upon reaching the age of 80, with an additional ₱10,000 provided every five years thereafter at ages 90 and 95.


For those who reach 100 years old, the Biñan LGU will match the ₱100,000 cash gift from the national government with an additional ₱100,000, providing centenarians with a total of ₱200,000.


This program highlights Biñan’s commitment to improving the welfare of its elderly citizens.
