Access to healthcare just got easier for residents of Los Baños, Pagsanjan, Calauan, and Santa Rosa with the official rolled out of Akay ni Sol Partylist’s Mobile Botika program. The mobile health initiative offers free medicines, medical consultations, and prescriptions—particularly benefiting those managing chronic illnesses.

During the rollout, Laguna Governor Sol Aragones shared her long-term goal of establishing permanent Akay ni Gob Botika branches in every municipality.

“Once the funding is secured, we’ll begin setting up branches in all towns,” Gov. Sol affirmed.

Los Baños Mayor Neil Nocon joined the event and welcomed the mobile clinic’s presence in his town.

“We’re grateful this program has come to Los Baños. Residents no longer have to travel far to access free medical care and medicines,” he said.

In a bid to further strengthen local health services, Gov. Sol also revealed that she recently reached out to Senator Bong Go, who assured his continued support for public healthcare efforts.

“Yesterday, we approached Senator Bong Go, and he assured us of his continued help in addressing medical needs,” she said.

Gov. Sol also underscored the importance of respectful and compassionate service in healthcare.

“Rude employees are not welcome, and the same goes for patients,” she reminded both staff and beneficiaries.

The Mobile Botika initiative serves as more than just a roving pharmacy—it’s a lifeline for many Lagunense who struggle to afford regular medical checkups or purchase maintenance medications. Amid inflation and unemployment, the program delivers both relief and dignity to those most in need.

For Dondon Raviche of Santa Rosa, a former bus and taxi driver sidelined by vision problems and hypertension, the service is a blessing.

“Having free access to medicine is a huge help, especially now that I’m unemployed,” he shared.

Allen Manahan, a stroke survivor from Los Baños, expressed his gratitude after receiving a month’s worth of maintenance medicine.

“Thank you so much. This will really help in my recovery,” he said.

Meanwhile, Rodrigo Laso, a retired UP police officer from the UPLB Forestry area recently diagnosed with hypertension, emphasized how much the program means to retirees like him.

“Programs like this are a big help to people like me,” he added.

As mobile health services continue to reach more underserved communities—and with the backing of both local and national leaders—Akay ni Sol Partylist remains committed to delivering compassionate, community-based healthcare where it’s needed most.
