AP Renewables Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aboitiz Power, donated medical supplies and equipment to its three host barangays, Lourdes, Bariis, and Cararayan, last January 24 and January 25, respectively.
Intending to support the quality health service of the municipality of Tiwi, APRI, through the help of the Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (AFI), invested more than half a million pesos to the identified needed medical equipment of the local government units such as nebulizers, medical beds, digital weighing scales, and blood pressure apparatuses.
A barangay health worker of Bariis stressed on the benefit of receiving the medical equipment from APRI.
The hygiene kits donated consist of facemasks, hand towel, nail cutter, alcohol, toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste, and disinfectant spray.
Almost 5,000 residents of the three barangays will benefit from the set of medicines and medical equipment donated to their respective health centers.
“Healthcare is a pivotal aspect of our society. APRI firmly believes that health should be our topmost priority. As a way of advancing our business and communities, our organization continuously advocates the improvement of healthcare services in our host barangays through the provision of these medical supplies and medical equipment,” said APRI Vice President for Corporate Services Leonardo Robel, Jr.
The Adopt-A-Health Center is anchored in the third global sustainable development goal of having good health and well-being. Since its first implementation in 2021, the project has served more than 58,104 individuals across Sto. Tomas, Batangas and Tiwi, Albay.
