Urban Planner Architect Jun Palafox underscored the major challenges facing the Philippines and the corresponding solutions needed to address them during his presentation at the First Laguna Construction and Building Expo (LACBEX) 2025 held yesterday, November 20, at the Sta. Cruz Sports Complex.
In his talk, Palafox emphasized that good governance remains the key solution to corruption, while peace and order is essential in addressing criminality. He also highlighted that prioritizing the environment is crucial in mitigating the impacts of climate change.
Palafox added that promoting wealth distribution can help reduce inequality, while ensuring seamless connectivity is vital for strengthening the country’s infrastructure. To boost national progress, he also urged the government to open up the economy to more investments.
His insights were among the highlights of the expo’s opening day, where industry leaders, builders, and planners gathered to discuss the future of construction and development in Laguna and the rest of the country.
