MANILA — The OFW Party List expressed deep gratitude to its supporters, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), seafarers, and their families following the conclusion of the 2025 midterm elections, while vowing to continue its fight for fair representation amid what it calls an unjust allocation of party-list seats.
In a heartfelt message, OFW Party List Representative Marissa “Del Mar” Magsino acknowledged the sacrifices made throughout the campaign, calling it a journey built on hard work, sweat, and perseverance.
“Our campaign was not easy. We endured every day with sweat, tears, and sacrifice. Amid the noise and dirt of politics, we remained honorable—and our people responded with overwhelming support,” said Magsino.
However, Magsino raised concern over what she described as an “unjust and unequal” distribution of seats among winning party-list groups, which she believes deprived OFWs and seafarers of proper representation in Congress.
The party announced its plan to bring the matter before the Supreme Court to assert the rights of OFWs and seafarers, insisting that their voice should not be silenced due to flawed seat allocation.
“If our voice is being denied, we will raise it even louder. If it is being taken away, we will fight harder for our OFWs and seafarers,” she said.
Despite the setback, Magsino emphasized that their commitment to service goes beyond official positions. “Our mission does not end here. True service comes from a heart ready to help—regardless of titles or positions,” she added.
The OFW Party List reaffirmed its role as a steadfast ally of Filipinos working abroad and pledged to continue advocating for their welfare.
“To every Filipino sacrificing for their family abroad—know that you remain the heart of our cause. You are our inspiration. OFW, ikaw ang bida,” Magsino declared.
She ended the message by thanking supporters for their unwavering faith and commitment throughout the campaign. “Together, we will keep moving forward—until the very end.”
