Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), was honored with the Award of Merit at the 21st Philippine Quill Awards for its innovative tourism campaign, the ‘Biyaheng South’ Cavite Tourism Passport.
Organized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines, the Philippine Quill Awards is one of the country’s most prestigious recognition programs in the field of business communication. It celebrates projects that demonstrate excellence in strategy, creativity, and measurable impact—projects that elevate not only businesses but also the communities they serve.
The ‘Biyaheng South’ Cavite Tourism Passport received the Award of Merit under the Communication Skills Division – Publications Category. This creative publication highlights the rich cultural heritage and vibrant tourism scene of Cavite, showcasing local cuisine, historical sites, and unique destinations in a format that is both interactive and engaging.
MPT South relaunched an enhanced version of the passport on August 1, 2025, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Cavite. The updated passport aims to encourage both tourists and residents to explore more of Cavite while supporting local businesses and sustainable tourism initiatives. It aligns with MPT South’s commitment to regional growth and community empowerment.
“We are truly honored to receive this Award of Merit for our ‘Biyaheng South’ Cavite Tourism Passport. It inspires us to continue developing initiatives that celebrate local culture, empower communities, and enhance the travel experience of motorists on our expressways,” said Arlette V. Capistrano, MPT South Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management.
With this recognition, MPT South reaffirms its dedication to creating programs that promote inclusivity, cultural appreciation, and economic development—making Southern Luzon not just a travel destination, but a flourishing hub for tourism and progress.
