After recently securing triple ISO certifications — ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) — MPT South, the operator of the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) and Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), celebrates another major milestone: achieving 5 million safe man-hours without a lost-time injury (LTI). This accomplishment highlights the company’s unwavering commitment to safety, quality, and creating a sustainable work environment for its employees.
One of MPT South’s key safety initiatives involves educating its workforce and turning them into advocates for road safety. Recently, MPT South employees participated in the Drayberks Road Safety session in partnership with Cavite State University. During the session, they gained valuable insights on road safety practices, defensive driving, and staying safe on expressways. The program not only benefits employees but also extends to motorists, community partners, and government stakeholders, reinforcing the company’s dedication to improving road safety for all.
“Our triple ISO certification, and this milestone reflects MPT South’s collective effort in exhibiting its commitment to safety, health and well-being of our workforce. We are extremely proud of this achievement, and we remain focused on maintaining the highest safety standards and in continuing to improve our practices to provide A- class customer service to our employees and motorists alike” said MPT South Officer-in-Charge, Ms. Elnora D. Rumawak.
