The Mapua Malayan Digital College (MMDC), the newest digital learning unit under Mapúa, has announced two flagship offerings designed to meet the needs of working students and career shifters: a full college program and a set of short-term certification courses.
The college program features a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) as its banner course, with five available specializations. Under the business-focused track are Marketing Technology, Entrepreneurship Technology, and Data Analytics, while the development-focused track offers Software Development and Network and Cybersecurity.
For a full load of five subjects per term, tuition costs about ₱21,000. With three terms in a school year, students typically finish the degree in 3.5 to 4 years.
Meanwhile, the certification programs are designed as micro-credentials for learners who may not have the time or resources to pursue a full college degree. These short courses can be completed in as little as three months, with fees starting at ₱9,000.
This year, MDC is also rolling out a pay-as-you-go model for certifications. Learners can begin by paying ₱5,000 upfront, then continue paying ₱1,000 per module, making the programs more affordable and accessible.
While the courses are term-based, students enjoy flexible scheduling. They can choose to attend classes in the morning, afternoon, or evening, and access their modules, tasks, and exercises anytime. Professors are available for guidance, ensuring that students receive practical instruction alongside independent study.
MDC accepts enrollees who have completed senior high school or the old high school curriculum for its college degree. The certification programs, meanwhile, require only a high school diploma, opening opportunities even for those who have not pursued higher education.
By offering both degree and certification pathways, MDC aims to provide learners with the flexibility, affordability, and industry-relevant skills needed to advance in today’s workforce.
