CLARK, PAMPANGA — Mekeni Food Corporation made a significant splash at the inaugural One Pampanga Food and Beverage Expo (OPFBEX) on September 13–14, showcasing a range of new products and providing a glimpse into its upcoming 40th anniversary in 2026. As the largest exhibitor at the event, Mekeni highlighted its commitment to both culinary innovation and its roots as a proud Kapampangan brand.

New Sausage Creations Delight Expo Visitors
At the Mekeni booth, guests were among the first to sample three new sausage products crafted to appeal to diverse tastes. The 4 Cheese Sausage, a blend of cheddar, gouda, cream cheese, and mozzarella, was an instant favorite among cheese enthusiasts. The Breakfast Sausage was noted for its rich flavor despite its small size, making it ideal for quick meals, while the gourmet-style Country Style Sausage, infused with herbs, offered a more refined experience for discerning palates. These new creations underscore Mekeni’s goal of developing flavors that resonate with both Filipino and international consumers.

A Holiday Tradition: Mekeni’s Festive Ham Collection
The spotlight also shone on Mekeni’s popular Christmas Ham collection, a beloved staple in Filipino holiday celebrations. The lineup included the smoky Gold Premium Ham made from select pork cuts, the sweet and savory Deli Ham, and the healthier Premium Chicken Ham. Also on display were the pineapple-glazed Jamon de Bola and the lean, boneless Pear-shaped Ham. Rounding out the collection were the Brick Ham, a special yet affordable option, and the classic Christmas Ham, designed to be a flavorful and budget-friendly choice for every household.

Street Flavors: A New Concept for Events and Entrepreneurs
Adding to its product launches, Mekeni introduced Street Flavors, a new cart concept that elevates classic Filipino street food. The carts feature Mekeni’s premium take on staples like fish balls, squid balls, and kikiam. Beyond being a high-quality food option for events and gatherings, Street Flavors is also presented as a business opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs, offering an accessible entry point into the food industry.
Looking Ahead to 40 Years of Global Growth
Visitors were given a sneak peek into the company’s 40th-anniversary campaign, which featured a showcase of its official logo and an interactive, AI-powered photo booth that highlighted the various countries where Mekeni products are now sold. These elements emphasized the brand’s expanding global presence and its mission to share Kapampangan flavors worldwide.
“As we approach our 40th year, we want to give our customers a taste of what’s next,” said Mekeni President Pruds Garcia. “Our newest products, our ventures like Street Flavors, and our continued expansion abroad are all part of the story we want to tell, because truly, May Kwento sa Bawat Timpla (There’s a Story in Every Flavor),” he added.
Mekeni’s presence at the expo reaffirmed its status as a cornerstone of Kapampangan cuisine with a global vision. As Garcia explained, the company’s participation was a way to give back to the community and inspire others. “This expo is close to our hearts because it allows us to give back by showing others that it is possible to grow from humble beginnings and make an impact globally,” he said. “We hope our story inspires others to pursue their dreams with passion, values, and resilience.”
