Pangil Laguna –Laguna Police recovered high-caliber firearms and arrested three suspects in a farm in Pangil, Laguna during the joint implementation of search warrants on July 29.

The Provincial Special Operations Unit (Lead Unit) together with PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) Camp Crame, SWAT Team, 1st and 2nd Laguna Provincial Mobile Force Company (LPMFC), and Pangil Municipal Police Station (MPS) launched the operations at Rampage Madriaga’s Farm, Brgy. Galalan, Pangil, Laguna.

Laguna Police Provincial Director PCOL Harold P. Depositar identified the suspects as alias Eduardo Prestado, farm security, alias Jonathan and alias Allan both farm caretaker.

Seized inside the main house includes an automatic rifle, shotguns, a submachine gun, pistols, magazines and live ammunition.

Authorities believe the property belongs to Ramil Madriaga, the alleged leader of the Madriaga kidnap-for-ransom group, who was arrested in Cainta, Rizal last month.

“The farm is allegedly owned by the leader of the Madriaga Kidnap-for-ransom group that operates in Metro Manila and CALABARZON Region. This group is well-versed in handling firearms as they have high-powered firearms and have their own firing range therein; thus, upon receipt of the search warrant issued by the court on July 27, this year, we immediately and carefully worked on it to ensure the success of the operation.” PCOL Harold P. Depositar said.

“These operations are one of our bold steps to reduce the possibility that these personalities cause further damage to our constituents or even interfere in the peaceful conduct of the upcoming elections.” Police Director added.

The suspects are now in the custody of Pangil MPS and cases for violation of RA 10591 were filed against them at the Prosecutor’s Office.
