Student publications, student leaders, and youth organizations from within and beyond Laguna gathered at the Laguna Provincial Extension Office, Hectan Compound, on November 13 to participate in I-Fest Laguna 2025. The event featured knowledge-sharing sessions, tips, and experiences from veteran journalists and documentarists of GMA Network’s I-Witness, fostering deeper discussions on journalism strategies and impactful storytelling.
Five award-winning I-Witness hosts—Kara David, Howie Severino, Atom Araullo, Mav Gonzales, and John Consulta—shared insights about their notable documentaries that have sparked change in the national landscape.
Organized in collaboration with the Youth Development Affairs (YDA) Office-Laguna and GMA 7 Public Affairs, with support from the Youth Development Office of Calamba and CCC The Sentinel Student Publication, the event drew approximately 900 registered attendees.
The YDA-Laguna also assured participants that the success of I-Fest Laguna 2025 paves the way for future editions, continuing the partnership with GMA Network to further empower the next generation of journalists.
