The Regional Highway Patrol Unit 4A, under the leadership of PCOL Rommel C. Estolano, successfully arrested four individuals involved in the theft of a red Mitsubishi Xpander (plate number DBF 8309). The operation, led by PLT Noel Pelina and supervised by PCPT Aldine F. Moreno, took place on November 17, 2024, in San Pedro, Laguna, following an entrapment operation based on a complaint from Letecia Suzón, whose vehicle had been stolen on October 6, 2024, in General Trias, Cavite.
The arrested suspects are Marla Marcelo, 37, Pia Martinez, 38, Dennise Nicole Creencia, 20, and Anthony Bautista, 54. They were apprehended while attempting to sell the stolen vehicle, which had been recovered in their possession. Marcelo and Bautista acted as poseur buyers, while Martinez and Creencia delivered the vehicle. The operation used marked money and was based on intelligence gathered from a confidential informant. The suspects are now in custody and will face inquest proceedings for violating the Anti-Fencing Law (PD 1612).
This operation is part of the ongoing efforts of the Highway Patrol Group, led by PBGEN William M. Segun, to combat car theft, highway robbery, and other crimes along the highway.
