Garcia, alongside various industry leaders, has pledged a unified commitment to fighting fake news. This collaboration aims to tackle the widespread issue of misleading information, which often spreads rapidly when individuals mistakenly believe and share false content.
The initiative, led by GMA Network in partnership with COMELEC, saw participation from over 50 companies and organizations. This landmark event marks the formation of one of the largest alliances against disinformation, encompassing a broad spectrum of media and academic institutions.
