Cha Hernandez registers strong legislative record with 71 authored bills

Congresswoman Cha Hernandez has demonstrated a strong and active legislative performance in the House of Representatives, having authored 71 bills and co-authored 37 others focused on governance reform, transparency, environmental protection, and national development.

A major part of her legislative agenda centers on strengthening accountability and integrity in government. Among the key measures she principally authored are the Anti-Political Dynasty Act, Freedom of Information Act, Bank and Investments Secrecy Waiver Act, Open Infrastructure and Public Oversight Act, and the Independent Commission Against Infrastructure Corruption Act—all designed to promote transparency and protect public funds.

Hernandez has also pushed forward legislation addressing environmental sustainability and climate resilience. Her authored proposals include the Sierra Madre Conservation Act of 2025, Green Public Procurement Act, Waste Treatment Technology Act, and the UP National Climate Resilience Institute Act. In addition, she filed resolutions advocating nature-based climate solutions for Laguna de Bay and the protection of Mt. Makiling.
