Three key leaders of Calamba City gathered to honor the statue of Young Jose Rizal in commemoration of the birth anniversary of the Philippine National Hero.
Calamba City Mayor Ross Rizal, Vice Mayor Totie Lazaro, and Lone District Representative Cha Hernandez led the floral offering ceremony at the Rizal Shrine, located at the very site where Dr. Jose Rizal was born.
The symbolic event is part of the city’s annual celebration of Rizal’s birthday, aimed at honoring his legacy and invaluable contributions to the nation’s history and independence.
The local officials also delivered brief messages, emphasizing the importance of passing on Rizal’s ideals and patriotism to the youth of today.
