Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South), the concessionaire of Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) and Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), successfully launched another leg of its flagship tourism campaign with the Biyaheng South Summer Tour 2025—a three-day road trip highlighting the charm and culture of Southern Luzon.
Co-presented by Landco Pacific Corporation, in partnership with the Department of Tourism Region IV-A (DOT IV-A), Department of Interior and Local Government IV-A (DILG IV-A), Cavite Tourism Office, and Calatagan Tourism Office, the initiative brought together influencers, media representatives, and winners of the Biyaheng South promotion—collectively called Ka-Biyaheros—to explore destinations now more accessible thanks to improved road networks via CALAX and CAVITEX.

Day 1: Scenic Rides and Local Delights in Cavite
The tour kicked off with a smooth and scenic drive along CALAX, where participants got a first-hand look at the comfort and efficiency of traveling through MPT South’s tollways. Riding aboard the FOTON Traveller and Traveller XL—courtesy of Foton Philippines, the event’s official mobility partner—the group previewed the soon-to-open Governor’s Drive Interchange in General Trias. Set to open in 2025, this new access point is expected to ease congestion and shorten travel times to major destinations across Cavite.
The convoy’s first stop was Kura Café in General Trias, where participants enjoyed specialty brews and local favorites such as Nutella pistachio pizza, oyster sisig, baked scallops, and banana bread—just minutes from CALAX’s Silang-Aguinaldo exit.
Day 2: Coastal Escapes and Island Adventures in Batangas
The second leg of the trip brought the Ka-Biyaheros to Taal Lake in Talisay, Batangas, for a tranquil cruise set against the iconic backdrop of Taal Volcano. A lakeside lunch of Batangueño specialties followed before the group proceeded to their main base for the tour: Calatagan South Beach (CaSoBe), a master-planned beachside destination by Landco.
Recognized with a Silver Award at the 2023 Property and Real Estate Excellence Awards, CaSoBe offered a variety of unique accommodations including Apollo Aeropods, Cupolas, Cocoon Pods, and Premier Garden Cabins. Participants were treated to a balance of rest and recreation—from relaxing mornings by the beach to vibrant evenings at Captain Barbozza, the on-site dining and social hub.
The second day featured an island-hopping tour around Calatagan’s pristine beaches and a visit to Aquaria Water Park, home to a towering three-story slide and multiple swimming areas along Calatagan’s scenic coastline. The day concluded with a sunset stop at the historic Cape Santiago Lighthouse, where participants enjoyed local merienda as they watched the sun set over the West Philippine Sea.

Day 3: Back to Cavite for Café Hopping and High-Speed Fun
The final day took the group back to Cavite for a visit to Chantilly Café in Carmona, a cozy café known for its rustic charm and warm pastries. The road trip wrapped up on a high-energy note at the Carmona Racetrack, where Ka-Biyaheros got behind the wheel for friendly go-kart races—capping off the adventure with speed and excitement.
With its seamless access via CALAX and CAVITEX, the Biyaheng South Summer Tour 2025 successfully showcased the region’s growing tourism potential. This collaborative effort between the government, private sector, and tourism stakeholders underscores the importance of infrastructure in promoting regional travel and discovery.
