The people of Laguna are proud of the appointment of Atty. Melvin Matibag as Director of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). A native of San Pedro, Laguna, he now leads the country’s premier investigative agency.
Now serving as NBI Director, Atty. Melvin Matibag—also known to many as “Mamba”—previously served as Cabinet Secretary. He is widely recognized as a strong leader and a family-oriented individual, and he is the husband of First District Representative Ann Matibag.
Atty. Melvin Matibag is considered the first Lagunense to lead the National Bureau of Investigation, making his appointment a historic milestone for the province.
