CARD RBI recognized as outstanding Rural Bank at LANDBANK Gawad TANYAG Awards

CARD MRI Rizal Bank, Inc. (CARD RBI) was recognized as one of the country’s outstanding financial institutions during the Gawad TANYAG Awards held as part of LANDBANK’s 63rd Anniversary celebration on August 8, 2026.

The bank received the Gawad Partner Financial Institution (PFI) Outstanding Rural Bank Award for its significant contribution to expanding access to financial services among underserved communities and Filipino families.

CARD RBI President and CEO Lyneth Derequito said the recognition reflects the bank’s continued commitment to strengthening rural communities by creating greater opportunities for economic empowerment.

“This award reflects our commitment to strengthening rural communities in the country and using this opportunity to expand their economic opportunities. This is the significant impact of advancing financial inclusion,” Derequito said.

She added that the award is also a recognition of CARD RBI’s employees and clients whose aspirations continue to inspire the bank to reach more financially excluded Filipinos.

“Their dreams of a better life drive us to keep expanding our reach to reach more Filipinos who are financially excluded and give them the same opportunity of empowerment,” she said.

The Gawad TANYAG (TANging YAman at Galing) Awards recognize LANDBANK clients and partners that contribute to community development through excellence, innovation, and service.

As a microfinance-oriented rural bank under CARD MRI, CARD RBI provides financial services tailored to economically challenged families and small business owners. Its offerings include microfinance loans, solar financing, educational and health loans, savings accounts, and remittance services.

Through its partnership with the CARD MRI network, the bank also extends microinsurance, business development assistance, and various community-based programs.

As of June 2026, CARD RBI has 405 offices and 2,016 employees, serving 946,868 clients nationwide. The bank has also recorded more than PHP 9 billion in loan disbursements, with a 99.32 percent repayment rate.
