The Department of Agriculture–Agricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI) CALABARZON is set to host two major events this November 2025 aimed at promoting innovation and strengthening the region’s coconut industry: the 2025 Coco Fiesta and the annual Techno Gabay Program (TGP) Summit.
Coco Fiesta 2025
Happening on November 18–22, 2025, at the third level of SM City Trece Martires, Cavite, the Coco Fiesta 2025 carries the theme “Transforming Communities, Advancing Sustainability: Toward a Modernized Coconut Agriculture and Agribusiness Sector.”
The five-day celebration will serve as a venue for local exhibitors and innovators to showcase coconut-based products, services, and technologies, helping expand market opportunities and boost income for coconut farmers and enterprises. It will also highlight emerging innovations and value-adding practices that support the continued development of the coconut industry.
Exhibit booths will feature products and technologies from smallholder coconut farmers and associations across CALABARZON. A technology forum—expected to gather over 50 participants per session—will tackle topics such as:
- Home-based coconut value-adding for health and hygiene
- Innovative coconut waste utilization
- Processing of functional coco-based food products
- Food safety and quality standards
- Packaging and branding for coconut products
- Sustainable coconut agribusiness models
- Opportunities in coconut agritourism
- Coconut-based urban gardening for green skills and sustainability
TGP Summit 2025
Running simultaneously from November 19–21, 2025, the TGP Summit 2025 will be held at Cavite State University (CvSU) in Indang, Cavite. Organized by DA-ATI CALABARZON in partnership with the Provincial Government of Cavite, CvSU, and the Southern Tagalog Agriculture, Aquatic, and Resources Research Development and Extension Consortium (STAARRDEC), the summit will bring together program implementers from across the region.
The event aims to strengthen collaboration, share best practices, and honor outstanding achievements within the Techno Gabay Program. Guided by several UN Sustainable Development Goals—specifically SDGs 1, 2, 8, 12, and 17—the summit will underscore the importance of inclusive, sustainable agricultural transformation driven by innovation and multi-sector partnerships.
Tributes will be given to exemplary Farmers’ Information and Technology Services (FITS) Centers and Magsasaka Siyentista for their leadership in adopting agricultural technologies, digital solutions, and farmer-led extension initiatives.
The summit will also host guests from various implementing agencies of the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) and feature international artist Apl.De.Ap, founder of the Apl.De.Ap Foundation, who recently launched an ambitious project to plant 100 million coconut trees in support of sustainable coconut industry growth.
A United Push for a Modern Coconut Industry
By mounting these two back-to-back events, DA-ATI CALABARZON underscores its commitment to fostering resilient, innovative, and future-ready agricultural communities—empowering local stakeholders and paving the way for a stronger, more sustainable coconut sector.
