The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Region IV-A (Calabarzon) will soon have a permanent regional office in Calamba City following the signing of a Deed of Usufruct Agreement between COMELEC Chairperson George Erwin Garcia and Calamba City Mayor Roseller “Ross” Rizal on Thursday at the Jose Rizal Coliseum.
Under the agreement, a portion of the Calabarzon Government Regional Center in Barangay Mapagong will serve as the site for the new office, marking a major step toward improving accessibility and efficiency in the delivery of election services.

Chairperson Garcia said the initiative forms part of COMELEC’s effort to establish permanent “one-stop shop” regional offices nationwide. “This move brings COMELEC closer to the people of Calabarzon, ensuring faster and more efficient services,” he said.
Mayor Rizal lauded the partnership, emphasizing the importance of government unity in serving the public. “Progress comes when agencies work together toward genuine public service,” he said.
The new office is expected to enhance coordination among local COMELEC offices across Calabarzon and strengthen the implementation of programs promoting clean, orderly, and transparent elections.
