Three cities from Laguna emerged as top performers in this year’s PH Model Cities and Municipalities 2025, highlighting the province’s growing reputation as a center of good governance, innovation, and sustainable development.
The City of Cabuyao proudly solidified its status as one of the country’s rising urban leaders after securing seven major awards in the national competition. The recognition showcases the city’s strengthened governance, dynamic growth, and its collective efforts to build a progressive and inclusive future for all Cabuyeños.
Meanwhile, Calamba City once again demonstrated excellence on the national stage. Living up to its slogan “Pusong Calambeño,” the city was hailed as the Top Model City of the Philippines and ranked as a Top Awardee in nearly all major categories of the prestigious Manila Times Awards. Local officials credited the achievement to the continued discipline, order, and dedication of Calambeños in driving the city forward.
The City of Biñan was also honored during the event, earning the title of 1st Runner-Up in the Philippine Model City category. City leaders said the award reflects the unity of Biñanenses and their shared efforts in promoting tourism, cultural development, innovation, and sustainable progress.
The series of awards underscores Laguna’s growing prominence as a hub of progressive, competitive, and people-centered urban governance.
