In a role reversal, former Vice President Leni Robredo is now fully backing ex-Senator Bam Aquino’s senatorial campaign for the upcoming May elections, urging her supporters to back her former campaign manager from the 2022 presidential race.
The two reunited when Aquino visited Robredo’s hometown of Naga City following a speaking engagement at Bicol University in Albay.
In a Facebook Live, Robredo urged her supporters to go all out for Aquino once the campaign period starts on Feb. 11.
“Hindi pa pwede magkampanya ngayon. Pero sa February 11, start na. Start na ng kampanya. Talagang all-out tayo, sa mga dati po nating mga kasamahan during the campaign,” Robredo said.
Although she is older than Aquino, Robredo shared that she views him as a “kuya” (older brother) because of the care and guidance he provided, especially during her campaign.
Aquino recently secured a spot in the Top 12 in the latest senatorial surveys for the May elections.
