Metrobank, Toyota PH, Mastercard launch Toyota Platinum Card for Filipino motorists

In a move aimed at easing the rising cost of vehicle ownership, Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company has partnered with Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation and Mastercard to introduce the new Toyota Platinum Card—designed to support everyday Filipino drivers with savings and rewards.

The newly launched credit card targets the growing expenses associated with mobility, including fuel, maintenance, toll fees, and travel, offering practical financial solutions for car owners.

“This launch isn’t just about introducing a new card—it’s about keeping up with our customers’ evolving needs,” said Ramon del Rosario. He noted that while owning a car is a major milestone for many Filipinos, it also comes with recurring costs, which the Toyota Platinum Card aims to help manage through rebates and rewards.

Echoing this, Mike Masamayor emphasized that Toyota’s commitment goes beyond manufacturing vehicles. He said the company continues to enhance the overall ownership experience by creating value that supports customers in their daily lives.

Through the collaboration, cardholders can enjoy a range of benefits tailored to motorists, including a 3% rebate on toll fees and fuel purchases locally and abroad, with up to ₱15,000 in annual rebates. Users also earn reward points for every ₱20 spent on everyday transactions.

Toyota vehicle owners can further maximize perks such as a 10% discount on genuine parts, accessories, and labor at authorized dealers nationwide, 0% installment options for up to six months on Toyota-related transactions, double reward points at select dealers, and a 5% discount on Toyota Mobility rental services.

The card also leverages Mastercard’s global payment network, ensuring secure and seamless transactions for fuel, toll, travel, and rental expenses worldwide.
