MPCALA Holdings Inc., the company behind the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), has enlisted the services of two major construction firms, EEI Corporation and CM Pancho Construction, Inc. (CMPCI), to expedite the completion of the remaining sections of the toll road.
The partnerships are a significant move toward bringing the entire 45-kilometer expressway to full completion, a development that is expected to provide better connectivity and improved travel for motorists in Cavite and Laguna.
EEI Corporation has been tasked with overseeing construction on Subsection 1, which runs from Open Canal to Kawit. Meanwhile, CMPCI will handle the works for Subsection 2, from Governorโs Drive to Open Canal.
CALAX currently has operational segments at Laguna Technopark, Laguna Blvd., Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road, Silang East, and Silang Aguinaldo Interchange. The remaining subsections, including Subsection 3 (Silang Aguinaldo to Governorโs Drive), are under active development and are projected to be completed in the first half of 2026.
MPCALA Holdings Inc. is a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), the country’s leading toll road developer and operator. MPTC’s portfolio also includes major expressways like NLEX, SCTEX, CAVITEX, NLEX Connector, and CCLEX in Cebu.
