Senator Bong Go was the guest of honor at the inauguration of the super health center in Malvar, Batangas, which coincided with the turnover ceremony of a brand-new ambulance for the municipalities of Sta. Teresita and Malvar.


While delivering his speech, Senator Go noticed a young boy selling banana cue and camote cue. The senator called him up to the stage, briefly spoke with him, and bought all of his goods. He also gave the boy a basketball as a gift.
The 13-year-old boy, Joward Larangan, quickly distributed his items to the Barangay Health Workers (BHW) of Malvar. Joward, who stopped studying to help his mother make a living, earned 600 pesos from his sales, but was given 1,000 pesos by the senator, which he quickly brought home to his mother.
Joward expressed his gratitude to Senator Go, saying, “Thank you, Senator Bong Go, for helping me.”
Senator Go is known for buying goods from vendors he meets wherever he goes across the country, showing his compassion and dedication to public service.
